Artistically Productive

For once, and I feel proud of myself for finally getting a chance to work on art! School is so overwhelming, it gets to the point where I don't even do art during my AP Art class. I "finished" one piece so far. I say it quotations because I'm still not sure if I want to add, haha. I want to work on more pieces tonight, but I don't know whether or not I'm going to crash before I even get the chance. But hopefully, I do get the chance. In other news...Just kidding, I don't have any other news. Life's normal, for the most part. Right now I'm just focusing on school, and the "future".

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

I'm finally getting a chance to upload Kanye's new album onto my phone. I've listened to several songs on it already, and they're pretty good, so I'm excited for this album to be the next one that I obsess over for the next couple of weeks. On another note, I finished my Civics paper and submitted it, but I still have a bunch of other homework that I still need to work on. It is 10:36 P.M. at the moment, so I need to start on everything. Hopefully I'm not up too late, and I hope that I actually finish my homework this time, instead of blowing it off.

I have a weird-ass taste in music.

I mean, I'm not trippin' out about it or anything, but I was just thinking about. The different music that I've liked throughout my life time is basically what I listen to now, expect for a couple different things. From hip-hop to jazz to indie to metal, all of that shit. I love it, haha. One genre that I honestly don't like is fucking alternative-pop bullshit. I don't mean to swear or anything, but one day I started listening to that shit, because I used to be one of those teenies that obsessed over those kinds of bands, and I don't know what was wrong with me. It's so ugly and over-produced. They aren't even singing anymore. Where's the passion? Where is the actual substance of what people call, "music"? I don't see it. Thank goodness I've moved on from that. I'm good with listening to my Curren$y, Khalifa, Cudi, Kanye, Animal Collective, MGMT, Tupac, Mac Dre, Ahmad Jamal, Death, Earth Wind & Fire, Kings of Leon, Miniature Tigers and many, many more. I know that music is a passion for me, and I would never want to lose that.

Latest Obsession

LIPSTICK. Yes, lipstick. Haha, it's always been something that I've experimented with, just for fun. I have only a couple shades, but my favorites are usually nudes and various shades of red. I took a some pictures of the two products that I enjoy using the most.

The one in the green tube is Chianti by Clinque. I love this color. Whether it is applied alone, or mixed with other lipstick colors, it looks pretty good each time. The one in the black tube is my most recent buy. It's called Cream Puff by Bare Essentials. Now, I personally don't have a lot of Bare Essentials products, but from what I've tried so far, they're really great. Anyway, this lipstick color is a nude color, and I absolutely love it. It's simple, and just something nice and not too extravagant.

About to be a late night

I need to finish up this second draft. I think I'll just add quotes and what not throughout the paper, since I only had one. I applaud myself though, for finishing that paper in about 40 minutes. I also need to get more facts for my presentation tomorrow. Other than that, I think I've finished all of my work that needs to be done.

On a side note, I was looking through all of my designs I've drawn, past and present. Ahah, needless to say, the looks are always changing. I remember in 7th grade when I told my mom that I wanted to be a fashion designer. We got in a fight about it because it wasn't something practical. After a while, they accepted the fact that I wanted to do something in the arts. I'm applying as a studio art major and/or graphic designing major. I did consider fashion design and even fashion photography. It's still very appealing, but not something I would take on as a career. It's more of a hobby for me. In the future though, I want to design dresses for any big events that I'm having, like: my cotillion and/or wedding? That would be amazing. Haha, I know I'm capable, just getting it done is what I can be doubtful of sometimes.

I just wanted to dedicate this blog to some stuff I feel like posting. The first one is what I wore to my birthday party this year. Ahh, I found it the morning of too:

Yup, I like how the dress design is turning out. The back is going to look amazing too, once I draw it. I have the idea written down already though. I'm trying to figure out who I can go to to help me make the dresses. I think the dress shown in the picture will be the court dresses. I want to design my own as well, but imagine the cost of that! Especially because it has to be really formal and what not. But yes, this is what I have so far. It's a work in progress.

Montreux

At the moment, I'm chillin' in my brothers room, procrastinating. It's only 6:51 P.M. though, so I vitrually have a lot of time to finish all of the work I need to get done. After school, I had the realization that I need to start planning my debut. I need a theme, then I need to take that in mind and create the whole atmosphere. I also need to figure out who will be in the court, who will be my candles, and who will be invited. Not only that, but all of the other things, like the DJ, who's going to teach all the dances, blah blah blah, all of that. I have a little less than a year, so the more advance planning, the better. The date is officially November 19th, 2011. Haha, we booked the place and put down a deposit. I have the notebook that I'm planning it in right next to me. It's a work in progress.

Late-night homework

This is what I get for procrastinating the whole weekend. Then again, I had a reason to be relaxed. I have statistics, Christian living, and I have to write a reflection that I'll being saying in front of the whole school tomorrow.

Yesterday was my birthday, which was amazing to say the least. I appreciate all the love given by people, even if they are strangers. Ahah, I also went shopping yesterday, mainly because I've been itching to go shopping for the longest time. To be completely honest, I've been wearing the same clothes for months. Sure, it's helped me to improvise with what I have, but it's nice to get out there and buy things for once. Refraining from shopping is always good for me though because at least I'm able to be creative with my wardrobe, and because when I walk into a store, I have to AT LEAST get one thing, unless it's one of those stores where I can't even afford to buy the "cheapest" thing. Slowly falling from this high

I can feel my body go back to normal, or sober. It was a good ride. Wake and bake? Haha, I smoked at 9AM, it hit me at 9:30AM, and it lasted until now. I took a nap though, sometime in between. That's besides the point though. Today is November 24th, 2010. I'm excited because:
1. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving
2. Friday is my birthday party
3. Saturday is my birthday

and that's pretty much it. I'm trying to cherish the days while I can because when I go back to school, it'll be two weeks until finals, AKA stress mode x1000000.
